Over time, your teeth lose their luster and brightness due to stains caused by some foods, beverages, tobacco or certain antibiotics. The natural aging process can also darken tooth color.
How does whitening work?
A specially formulated whitening gel designed to be highly effective, yet safe, gently forces oxygen through the enamel of your teeth. This virtually erases stains and brightens your teeth, without damaging your tooth enamel or your gums.
What are my whitening options?
Home Tray System - Impressions are taken of your teeth and a custom made whitening tray is made that fits over your teeth. At home, you fill the tray with whitening gel and wear the tray for a period ranging from 30 minutes to over-night (depending on the individual and desired outcome).
In Office Laser Whitening - In approximately 1-2 hours, teeth are whitened using a special concentrate of whitening gel in conjunction with a special laser light. Home trays are also made for follow-up whitening.
How white can I expect my teeth to look?
Whiteness depends on the degree of discoloration. Everyone can whiten - some people take longer than others.
We will monitor your progress on a regular basis, ensuring that your gums are not becoming irritated and your teeth are whitening as desired.
When the process is complete, your smile will be noticably whiter and brighter.
