“I had heavy-duty fear of dentists,” she admits.
Although Lori’s mother sent her to a dentist every six months as a
child, Lori says she always was scared, and eventually stopped
seeing a dentist when she became an adult. That all ended when she
found herself housebound. She used her time wisely, searching the
Internet for information on cosmetic dentistry and advances in
dental ca e that had been made since her last visit to a dentist
more than 20 years earlier. |

Then she stumbled onto
www.dentist-lieberman.com The
website of Dr. Larry Lieberman, also in Palm Harbor. Summoning
all her courage, Lori made an appointment, only to be amazed
at what she found.
“From that first visit, I’ve never been in any pain,” she
says, still sounding a bit incredulous, “and my mouth has been
through a lot! “Dr. Lieberman promised he wouldn’t hurt me.
And he didn’t.” Being in marketing, Lori is always in the
public eye. So, she knew that covering her smile was no way to
win friends and influence people. With Dr. Lieberman’s help
and expertise, her smile was brought back to health with
crowns and veneers on top, and bridges on the bottom ... all
of which have her smiling ear to ear.
In addition to her new smile, Lori also lost a lot of weight.
Then ... ahem ... just for grins, she changed her hairstyle,
too. The change was so dramatic, Lori says her own son didn’t
recognize her, walking past er at a restaurant. The same thing
happened at work.
“No one recognized me,” she laughs. “And the biggest part of
that was because of my teeth. “My husband was a huge
supporter, and my children (Michael, 25, and daughter Kristen,
21) are very proud of me.
“I’ve always believed my purpose in life is to put a smile on
someone’s face,” Lori says brightly. “Now I’m happy I can
smile without feeling self-conscious about my teeth.”
